Our Pupil Parliament

Pupil Parliament News!

ELECTIONS! Prepare your speech for Friday 6th September 2019

Our Pupil Parliament is elected by the children. The candidates have to deliver a presentation to their class mates to persuade them to vote. They give details of their skills, experiences and abilities which would make them a productive member of the parliament. Each class elects a girl and boy.

The Pupil Parliament meets approximately every two weeks and has a formal agenda, which the members help to formulate. The members take it in turns to take the minutes of the meeting. Every meeting includes an agenda item to raise any concerns about bullying and safety.

The Pupil Parliament is divided up into different committees, which have different roles, and each member is part of one of these committees. The committees are:

  • School Magazine
  • Environmental
  • Fund Raising/Charity
  • Sport
  • Fair Trade
